Iran’s Nat’l Quran Contest: Arbiters Announced

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Members of the panels of judges in the preliminary stage of Iran’s 42nd national Quran contest were announced.

According to the organizing committee, Masters Gholam Reza Shahmiveh, Mohammad Reza Sotudenia, Mohammad Hossein Sabzali, and Mohammad Hossein Saeedian are the top members of the panels in the categories of recitation, memorization, Adhan (call to prayers) and prayers.

The preliminary stage of the competition has been underway for weeks and will run until August 22.

The final round will be held in central city of Isfahan.

The competition is annually organized with the aim of promoting Quranic activities and identifying the country’s Quranic talents.
